Ford Cortina, so-called by her father who wished to charm the Ford car factory back to Cork, finds herself in a quandary. Freshly expelled from school, and facing constant surveillance and interrogation from Ms Masterson, the teacher who is also her father's fiancée, she bolts and runs away to find her fortune elsewhere in the city. In her travels, she encounters a Christian hostel, a large pothole, and a lazy ambulance chaser, before finding love with a lonely transgendered male. But circumstances aren't finished with her yet...
